Faeger Showcases Climate-Smart Rice Farming at ADB’s Asia and the Pacific Food Systems Forum 2026

Faeger Co. Ltd. is pleased to announce our participation in the "Asia and the Pacific Food Systems Forum 2026," hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from March 16–20, 2026, at the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. We were honored to be selected as speakers for key sessions and to showcase our initiatives at the "Innovation Marketplace."

■ About the Forum
The forum is a premier international conference focused on food security and the future of sustainable agriculture in the Asia-Pacific region. Under the theme "Feeding the Future, Sustaining the Planet," ADB announced a landmark $40 billion commitment to transform food systems, drawing global attention.

■ Session Highlights
Faeger participated in two significant sessions as a provider of innovative solutions across agriculture, food, and the environment:

1. ADB-MAFF Joint Session: "Towards Innovative Climate-Food-Nutrition Nexus"
Speaker: Rachelle Marie Martin (Technical Project Coordinator, Philippines Business, Faeger Co. Ltd.)
Details: Speaking alongside other leading Japanese startups, Faeger shared its track record in decarbonized agriculture projects—such as Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD)—in Japan and the Philippines. We highlighted our digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) system, powered by our proprietary mobile application.

2. Session: "Opportunities for Sustainable and Low-carbon Rice Farming"
Speaker: Daiki Tajima (Project Coordinator, Southeast Asia Business, Faeger Co. Ltd.)
Details: Joining experts from FAO, PhilRice, and IRRI, Faeger discussed comprehensive farmer support models that integrate climate change adaptation with carbon credit initiatives.

■ Innovation Marketplace Exhibition
Faeger was selected to exhibit at the "Innovation Marketplace," where we hosted a booth visited by numerous government officials, including Mr. Yoichi Watanabe, Vice Minister for International Affairs at MAFF Japan. We showcased our "Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD)" project in the Philippines through videos and photos of local farmer training sessions.

■ Future Outlook
Faeger will continue to deepen its collaboration with ADB and international partners to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and accelerate the transition to a decarbonized society. Through the expansion of climate-smart projects across the Asia-Pacific, we remain committed to building resilient food systems and contributing to sustainable agriculture and global food security
