Faeger Meets with African Union Special Envoy for Food Systems
Faeger Co.Ltd. (Tokyo, CEO: Takahiro Ishizaki) had the honor of meeting with Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki, African Union Special Envoy for Food Systems, on August 22, 2025, at JICA headquarters in Tokyo. Dr. Mayaki was visiting Japan during TICAD 9 in Yokohama.

In the meeting, Faeger’s R&D Manager, Ms. Funayama, introduced the company’s initiatives in sustainable agriculture and carbon credits, as well as upcoming projects in Africa. Dr. Mayaki and Dr. Hamady Diop showed strong interest in Faeger’s planned pilot project in Uganda and its potential expansion across the region.
Dr. Mayaki also proposed connecting Faeger with relevant African regional institutions to explore further collaboration opportunities.
Faeger will continue to engage with international partners to drive innovation in agriculture and carbon credits, and to expand its contributions to sustainable food systems in Africa.
