Faeger Participates in CDC 2025 in Bandung, Indonesia
Faeger Co. Ltd. participated in the Carbon Digital Conference (CDC) 2025, held at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in Banten, Indonesia. As the flagship annual event of the Indonesia Carbon Trade Association (IDCTA), CDC2025 brought together leaders, innovators, and policymakers from over 50 countries to discuss the future of Indonesia’s emerging carbon economy.
Our Southeast Asia Director, Kazuki Sakamoto, joined the session “Japanese Corporate Prospects and Expectations on the Indonesian Carbon Credit Market: Strengthening Commitment Through MRAs.”
Drawing on Faeger’s experience in agricultural decarbonization and project development across the region, Sakamoto outlined the company’s early steps toward market entry in Indonesia. He discussed the opportunities presented by rice-methane reduction and biochar pathways, as well as the challenges that must be addressed—policy clarity, MRV readiness, and the establishment of effective Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) that enable cross-border credibility of carbon assets.
The session underscored the growing momentum for collaboration between Indonesia and Japan, particularly in sectors where digital innovation and field-level implementation must work hand in hand. Faeger will continue exploring partnerships with local institutions, government stakeholders, and private-sector actors as we evaluate pathways for project deployment in the Indonesian market.
