FAEGER Chief Sustainability Officer Spoke at the "MIDORI Decarbonization Overseas Deployment Consortium" Seminar

On July 9, 2026, the FY2026 First Seminar of the MIDORI Decarbonization Overseas Development Consortium was held in Tokyo. The consortium is led by Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and related organizations. Dr. Nobuto Yasui, Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) of Faeger Co. Ltd., participated as a speaker.

The "MIDORI Decarbonization Overseas Deployment Consortium" is an initiative established by MAFF, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF). It aims to accelerate the global expansion of decarbonized agriculture, particularly in regions like Asia and Africa, by leveraging the technologies and expertise of Japan's industry, academia, and government. The consortium supports the overseas deployment of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction technologies through sharing best business practices and facilitating matchmaking among private companies.

Dr. Yasui participated as a panelist in "Session 3: Panel Discussion on Theme-Specific Initiatives (MRV)". During his presentation, he shared FAEGER’s latest progress in agricultural carbon credit businesses—focusing on global initiatives such as biochar application and Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) technologies, primarily across regions including Asia and Africa. In the subsequent panel discussion, alongside representatives from JAXA, JIRCAS, and other private companies, hethey engaged in a discussion regarding MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) in international expansion.
