Faeger Participated in the 2nd Japan-Indonesia Environment Week Hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan

Faeger Co. Ltd., a Japan-based startup advancing sustainable and fair agriculture through carbon credit initiatives, announced that Miki Kuwahara from its Southeast Asia Division participated as a speaker at the “2nd Japan-Indonesia Environment Week” held in May 2026.

The event was organized by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, together with related organizations from Indonesia, bringing together policymakers, international organizations, and private-sector stakeholders to discuss climate action, decarbonization, and international collaboration.

During Session 4: “Climate Change Measures,” Faeger joined the Roundtable on Climate Change Adaptation and delivered a business pitch titled: “Contributing to Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture through Carbon Credit Mechanisms.”

The session focused on practical approaches to both climate mitigation and adaptation, including the utilization of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) framework and collaboration between governments, businesses, and local stakeholders.

Drawing on its experience in developing agriculture-derived carbon credit projects in Japan, Faeger shared its vision for supporting sustainable agriculture and climate resilience in Southeast Asia through farmer-centered decarbonization initiatives.

Faeger will continue working toward a more sustainable and fair future by promoting agricultural climate solutions that contribute not only to carbon reduction, but also to food security and regional resilience.
