Faeger Co. Ltd.’s Demonstration Project on High-Quality Agricultural JCM Carbon Credit Generation through DX in the Republic of the Philippines Selected for METI’s FY2024 Supplementary Budget “Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Program” (Small-Scale Demonstration / Feasibility Study)

Faeger Co. Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takahiro Ishizaki) is pleased to announce that, as of December 15, 2025, its demonstration project titled “High-Quality Agricultural JCM Carbon Credit Generation through Digital Transformation (DX) in the Republic of the Philippines” has been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)’s FY2024 supplementary budget program, the Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Program (Small-Scale Demonstration / Feasibility Study).

The selected project aims to deploy Faeger’s proprietary agriculture record-keeping system, which has already been utilized by farmers under Japan’s J-Credit Scheme and has contributed to the generation of more than 140,000 tons of cumulative carbon credits, into the agricultural sector in the Philippines.
Through collaboration with local government agencies and Irrigator's Associations (IAs), the project will establish a robust monitoring framework required for the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), thereby supporting the creation of high-quality agricultural carbon credits in the region.
