Faeger and Yanmar Aim for the World’s First Compliance Credit in Agriculture

Faeger Co. Ltd. has submitted a Project Design Document (PDD) and the first Monitoring Report to the JCM Secretariat, in collaboration with Yanmar Agri Co., Ltd. and Yanmar Philippines Corporation.

The submission is part of a bilateral Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) project aimed at reducing methane emissions from paddy fields in the Philippines using AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying) technology.

Faeger supports the project by providing technical expertise based on its knowledge of sustainable rice farming and credit certification processes in Japan.

This marks a significant step toward the first-ever issuance of a compliance-grade carbon credit in the agricultural sector globally.

Faeger will continue working alongside Yanmar and local stakeholders to promote sustainable agriculture through international carbon credit mechanisms.
